TRIP OVERVIEW

Dates: AUGUST 21 - AUGUST 28 , 2022

Fun is the #1 focus of this trip! Alex and Desiree invite you to 7 days of embracing the Dominican Culture. Escape with us to the beautiful Dominican Republic - a.k.a. the Mecca of Bachata. You will enjoy dance lessons with some of  the hottest native Dominican dance instructors (as well as with Alex and Desiree). Dance the day and nights away with festivities happening throughout the week including a trip to dance at an authentic Dominican batey.

Other activities include river trips, a day trip to a beautiful island off the coast, beach outings and group activities. You will get to enjoy delicious Dominican dishes prepared by our personal chef and even a cooking class with our very own Alex Morel! Spots are limited and can only be reserved on a first come first serve basis. Sorry, No Refunds.

Accommodations

Boca Chica stay will be a villa with a pool.

Las Terrenas & Bonao stays will be hotels (with pools)

Transportation + Transfers

All transportation is included as well as pick-up and drop-off to/from the airport.

*Transfers only to/from SDQ airport

Meals

Dominican-based meals will be provided every day (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

*We can't accommodate vegan diets

Farifeo

Fariseo is a dancer, instructor and choreographer in the Dominican latin dance community. He is known for his charismatic style of Bachata Flow Batey. Inarguably a leader in this style.  

Ana Saldaña

Native Bonao dancer with incredible energy and passion for dance. You may have seen Ana dancing all over social media in viral videos  by the beach or rivers. Ana is ready to share that authentic Bachata style from Bonao!   

Frank (Bachata) Mendez

Frank, also known as Frank Bachata is a young gem originally from the bateys of Santo Domingo. There he grew up around a more traditional style of Bachata. He is excited to share his all with you on this AND DR Escape!

Master class with Special guest: edwin ferrerras

International Ambassador of Dominican Arts, Edwin M Ferreras is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic educator of music, dance, and ethnomusicology. He is also the cofounder of Areíto Arts, an educational dance company, focusing on Afro-Caribbean rhythms and roots. Their aim is to educate students on the history, growth, and development of Afro-Caribbean arts.

Edwin is originally from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Rpeublic and is excited to bring us a unique interactive music class focuisming on Bachata musicality with live instruments.

You will learn how to play guira and bongo while learning about the roles of each guitar and the vocalist. This special workshop will be an experience rarely offered at events so we are very grateful to have Edwin offer his knowledge of music and instruments as it pertains to Bachata!
